Sierpinski Wrapper
Created By: Chase Dickerson
Last Update: September 9th, 2008
What is it?
Sierpinski Wrapper wraps a Sierpinski gasket around manifolds of various circumferences. The circumference represents attractor cycle length, L. The user can input L and also input the number of rows, R, in the Sierpinski gasket. The output is an image of the S-Wrap transform. This shows that the S-Wrap transform produces a form of symmetry that generates the derivatives of attractor cycles on a boolean landscape.

What's New?
-
Sierpinski Wrapper v1.30 (09/09/08)
-
Additions:
- Key Feature ~ Node Flipping - A user can now flip the state of any node by clicking on the primary display grid. The flipped node will then propogate downward throughout all the rows below it. This allows for the formation of various kinds of wrapped, customized Sierpinski gaskets.
-
Changes:
- Bit Processing - Storage and display of the underlying bits of a Sierpinski gasket were altered to accomodate the new node flipping functionality. As a result, the calculations for rotating bits is now signifficantly _slower_ than before when dealing with length and row sizes greater than 32.
-
Fixes:
- Attractor Checking - The first row of every Sierpinski gasket was being ignored when checking for attractor cycles.
-
Sierpinski Wrapper v1.20 (07/28/08)
-
Additions:
- Key Feature ~ Sierpinski Rotation - Wrapped Sierpinski rows can now be rotated to their lowest boolean order. The left and right rotation amounts are displayed to the right of each row when rotated.
-
Sierpinski Wrapper v1.10 (07/23/08)
-
Additions:
- Attractor Data - Wrapped Sierpinski attractor length, start, and end data are displayed in a box at the bottom of the application. The information will update automatically according to the current width and height of the wrapped Sierpinski.
- Key Feature ~ Attractor Highlight - Based on the given width and height of the wrapped Sierpinski, the program automatically searches the rows for repitition. The rows of any wrapped Sierpinski cycle attractor are highlighted in green.
