The JDP focuses on the complex and dynamic biological, social, and cultural aspects of developmental systems in humans and other animals. It includes all the disciplines that contribute to our understanding of human development, the factors that influence it, the mechanisms through which they work, and the enormous variations observed throughout the course of life.
