FFT Selected by OJJDP & CSVP (CDC) as Exemplary Program for National
Dissemination Dr. Alexander is progenitor of Functional Family Therapy
(with Bruce Parsons), a nationally and internationally acclaimed and
empirically demonstrated intervention model for juvenile delinquents,
oppositional and conduct disordered youth, and substance abusing youth.
FFT has been selected as a "Best Practice" program (under
different labels) by various national organizations (Centers for Disease
Control, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Center
for Study and Prevention of Violence, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention;
CDC, OJJDP, CSPV, CSAP respectively). These organizations independently
have reviewed some 500 programs available to youth, and have identified
only ten or so programs which qualify as empirically supported, rigorously
evaluated, and independently replicated. |
