The neuropsychology lab at the University of Utah is doing
exciting research examining both theoretical and clinical questions related to executive
functions. We are particularly interested in examining how executive functions interface
with motor and affective processes. Additionally, we are interested in developing new
ways of assessing executive deficits, particularly if they are subtle or pre-clinical. We
are currently running studies examining the theoretical and clinical utility of an
electronic battery of executive
tasks
developed in our lab, as well as traditional executive
measures. Current populations include older adults, patients
with brain injury, patients with multiple sclerosis, and
criminal populations.
Undergraduate research assistants in our
laboratory often have the opportunity to learn to administer
neuropsychological tests and assist graduate students
with data collection. Commonly, RA’s earn authorships
on posters or
articles.
If you are interested in joining our laboratory, either as an undergraduate research assistant
or as a graduate student, email Yana Suchy.
