Star Graduate Fellowships
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is offering Graduate Fellowships for master's and doctoral level students in environmentally related fields of study for FY2008. Doctoral students may be supported for a maximum of three years with funding available, under certain circumstances, over a period of four years. The fellowship program provides up to $37,000 per year of support.
GRO Graduate Fellowships

The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship provides
college graduates the opportunity to work in Washington, DC, with a public-interest
organization focusing on arms control and international security issues. The
fellowship is offered twice yearly, in the spring and fall. It lasts from six to
nine months and provides a stipend, health insurance, and travel costs to Washington.
The Scoville Fellowship does not award grant or scholarship money to students. |

The Division of Health Psychology (Division
38) of the American Psychological Association is sponsoring
four graduate student awards to support new research in any
of the following areas: 1) understanding the etiology, promotion
and maintenance of health; 2) the prevention, diagnosis, treatment
and rehabilitation of physical illness; 3) the study of psychological,
social, emotional and behavioral factors in physical illness;
and 4) the improvement of the health care system and formulation
of health policy. One of the four student research awards
is designated specifically for support of research in ethnic
minority health psychology. A second of these awards will
support research in the area of child health psychology, in
memory of Lizette Peterson, a former Health Psychology editor
and Division 38 member. |

the influence of grassroots entrepreneurship on gender roles
in India, the evolution of women’s movements in Eastern
Europe after the Cold War, and the dynamics of employment and
