If you prefer, you may create your own form to approximate the NIH forms. Type size must be at least 11 point; all margins must be at least 1 inch.
Applications not following these guidelines will not be considered.

2) NIH Biographical Sketch (not to exceed one page) of the student
3) NIH Biographical sketch (not to exceed two pages) of the faculty sponsor
4) A letter of recommendation from the faculty sponsor that endorses the student and the application as well as verifies that the proposed research is the student's project and that the student will function as the Principal Investigator
5) the Research Proposal as described above

Judging

Proposals will be judged by members of the Division 38 Research Committee. Preference will be given to submissions from students who have not previously received this award.

Research Report

Each student receiving an award will be required to submit a report to the Research Committee by September 1, 2004. The report will be limited to 2 single-spaced pages and should include a description of the results and the investigator's plan for presenting or publishing the results.
