Opening Hearts
The next morning I grab a cup of coffee and a spot in the morning sun to write in my journal. I look up, and there is a young friend who has come to camp to check us out. We spent the next half hour huddled together watching the day begin. It is hard to explain why, but this was a high-point of my research in Peru.
