Senior Thesis Program
- The Departmental Senior Honors Thesis Program is a 3-course sequence
in which students complete a research project under the direction
of a faculty advisor. Students normally enter the thesis program in
the junior year and complete a senior thesis seminar (Psych 4900)
in the spring of the junior year to help them prepare to conduct the
thesis project. The thesis project is usually a piece of empirical
research conducted under the supervision of a faculty member. Students
present their work in a poster session in the Spring Semester of their
senior year. The departmental senior thesis program is excellent preparation
for students who plan to continue their education in graduate or professional
school. This Psychology Department program is not affiliated with
the University Honors Program; each has its own requirements and procedures.
